Barca legend Pedro could enter history books if he wins UEFA Super Cup tonight
- The Spaniard faces Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday's night.
- If he wins, he will scoop the record-breaking fourth trophy.
- Only Paolo Maldini and former teammate Dani Alves have ever achieved that.
Pedro Rodriguez was part of Barcelona for 11 years if the years at the La Masia Academy are also counted. The winger left the Catalan giants for Chelsea in 2015. Still, he is fondly remembered by the Cules.
The 32-year-old is in the squad to face Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup which will take place in Istanbul this Wednesday, August 12.
Pedro scooped this trophy three times as a Blaugrana. He could now win it for the record-breaking fourth time. Should Chelsea win, Pedro could equal Paolo Maldini and former teammate Dani Alves' incredible achievement of four UEFA Super Cup titles.
During his Blaugrana times, Pedro made 204 La Liga appearances for Barcelona and scored a total of 99 goals. He also left the mark on the 2011 Champions League final win as he opened the scoring in the 3-1 Manchester United victory.
Curiously, Pedro's last goal for Blaugrana became the winning goal against Sevilla which arrived exactly in the 2015 UEFA Super Cup match. Barcelona won 5-4 in a rather dramatic manner. The Spaniard's decisive goal arrived in the extra time.
By the way, Pedro's Chelsea faced Barcelona during the pre-season tour in Japan on July 23. The Blues won 2-1.
