Sport Bild: Bayern could make last-minute bid for Coutinho
- The Bavarians are keeping tabs on the Brazilian's situation despite strong PSG links.
- They are still ready to sign him on a two-year loan deal.
- Apparently, the Bundesliga move could be Barca's Plan B to offload Coutinho in case the PSG deal fails.
Philippe Coutinho is still heavily linked with Bayern Munich. Even though he could be included in the swap deal with PSG to bring back Neymar, the Bavarians are keeping tabs on the Brazilian, as per Sport Bild.
The German side could allegedly make a last-minute bid for Coutinho in the case of Barca's potential failure to strike a deal with PSG. They have been linked with Coutinho for already two weeks since their first-choice transfer Leroy Sane suffered a long-term knee injury. Barca, meanwhile, haven't reportedly ruled out the Bayern deal as they are desperate to offload the Brazilian whatever it takes.
Bayern's plan is to offer the Catalans a two-year loan deal for the 27-year-old. Earlier on, Blaugrana almost shipped Coutinho to Tottenham on loan. However, the sides didn't agree on the financial terms. The Germans, meanwhile, are said to be able to afford the Brazilian's huge salary. At Barca, he receives 13,5 million euros per season.
Still, most of the reports highlighting Barca and PSG's negotiations on Neymar outline that both Coutinho and the Parisians would like the Brazilian to join the Ligue 1 side. Apparently, the Bayern transfer could be simply a Plan B. Moreover, some sources indicate that Barcelona wouldn't accept the Bavarians' loan deal as they would rather offload Coutinho on a permanent transfer.
