Sport: Vidal determined to stay at Barca
- The Chilean has asked his agent not to listen to any offers.
- He has caught the interest from Inter and PSG, as per multiple sources.
- If Vidal stays at Barca, Ivan Rakitic could leave instead.
Barcelona-based newspaper Diario Sport provide an update on Arturo Vidal's future. Despite the Catalans' abundance in the midfield area, the Chilean is reportedly determined to continue at the Camp Nou stadium. Moreover, he has allegedly asked his agent not to listen to any offers which may come up this summer.
Sport also believe Ernesto Valverde is perfectly satisfied with Vidal. Perhaps, the coach could even veto his potential departure.
Vidal is heavily linked with Inter who have recently parted ways with Radja Nainggolan, a player whose profile is similar to Vidal's. Moreover, their head coach Antonio Conte used to work together with Vidal at Juventus.
Finally, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly asked for Vidal to be included in the Neymar exchange deal.
Previously, Diario Sport reported that Barcelona could let Vidal join Inter for 20 million euros. The Nerazzurri allegedly contacted his agent Fernando Felicevich at once but their offer was rejected by the player himself.
Vidal's determination to continue at Barcelona may see Ivan Rakitic leaving instead, as per Sport.
Last season, Vidal accumulated 2.744 minutes in 53 appearances for Barcelona and scored three goals. He was mostly used as a substitute or a back-up midfielder. At first, the Chilean couldn't accept such a minor role but soon got used to his situation and is now said to be perfectly happy with it.
