Sport: Juventus & Marseille to battle for Miranda
- The youngster's playing time will be limited following Junior Firpo's arrival.
- He is particularly wanted by Marseille and Juventus with Barca opting for the Ligue 1 move.
- The French side would sign him on a loan deal while the Bianconeri demand a permanent transfer.
Barcelona are looking to resolve the future of their promising starlet, Juan Miranda. Previously, the left-back was considered to be Jordi Alba's potential back-up but the arrival of Junior Firpo has closed the door for the youngster.
Miranda has never been short of options with Juventus, Utrecht, Marseille, Schalke, Borussia Monchengladbach and a number of the Spanish sides, including Mallorca, Granada and Betis all named among the potential contenders to land him.
However, Diario Sport now single out two clubs: Marseille and Juve. They also claim that Barcelona would prefer sending Miranda to the French team.
Marseille would sign the 19-year-old on a loan deal without an option to buy. This is the best scenario for the starlet who could progress at the highest level possible. Barcelona, for their part, would still have the player's rights.
Juventus, meanwhile, consider signing Miranda on a permanent basis and then offload him to a fellow Serie A club on a loan deal. They offer the Catalans five million euros for his services. However, Barca strongly disagree with this valuation as they reportedly price Miranda at 20 million euros.
Previously, Calciomercato mentioned a potential inclusion of Juventus' fringe defender Daniele Rugani as part of the Miranda deal. The Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici reportedly travelled to the Catalan capital during the weekend.

Miranda has made four appearances for the Barcelona first team. He even completed the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 home draw against Tottenham in the last season's final game of the group stage. Miranda also won the UEFA Youth League back in 2018 as he provided five assists during the title-winning campaign.
