Former Dembele's cook blames player's entourage for his lack of discipline: 'They're rich & they don't care'
- Dembele fails to follow the club's strict discipline.
- Mickael Naya says that the player's lifestyle is truly shocking.
- The attacker lives with his uncle and his friend who are not taking care of Ous' rest and eating cycle.
- The cook claims that the lack of professional structure around Dembele leads to higher injury risk.
Instead, the 22-year-old flew to Rennes where he paid a visit to his mother. The club has tried to get ahold of Dembele but he ignored the calls leaving both the medical team and the coaching staff furious. Ousmane has appeared in Barca facilities on Monday with the test showing that he has a tear in his left hamstring - an injury he previously suffered four times already.
The Frenchman's former cook, who was appointed by Barcelona to control Ousmane's diet and dismissed by the player himself last season, has revealed in the interview with Diario Sport that all the winger's problems might be largerly blamed on his lifestyle and entourage:
"Ousmane and his surroundings know that they will be criticized no matter what happens. So, this falls on them. They are rich and they don't care," said Mickael Naya (h/t BarcaTimes).
"Ousmane is a good boy, but he doesn't have his life in his hands. He lives with his uncle and his best friend, who dare not say anything. It's a shocking life. I have never seen alcohol, but he does not respect his resting cycle. There is no professional structure around him."
Dembele will now miss five Barca games in La Liga and will likely return to training in the second part of September.
By the way, Dembele is Barca's most fined player of all time. At the end of October 2018, his total fine was valued at €50k as he had been late for one of Barca's training sessions.
