Carlos Vela's brother backs Barca to sign the Mexican instead of Neymar
- The 30-year-old scored 28 goals in 28 games for Los Angeles FC.
- He's a top MLS goalscorer this season.
- Earlier, Barca tried to land the Mexican but unsuccessfully.
Carlos Vela's brother Alejandro has urged Barcelona to sign Carlos who's "much cheaper" than Barca's long-term target Neymar.
"What if Barcelona tried to sign the No.10 of Los Angeles FC once again???? I think he would cost cheaper and be much more efficient than NEY, really. Carlos can play wherever he wants!!!!!"
This season, the Mexican is a top goalscorer in Major Soccer League with his 28 strikes in 28 games. His biggest rival is Zlatan Ibrahimovic who features for a club just from the same city, Los Angeles Galaxy. Their stats don't differ much, however, former Barcelona forward gives edge to Vela with his 20 goals in 21 matches.
By the way, Barcelona already made an effort to seal Vela a few years ago, however, the Mexican decided to choose the US as his next destination after Real Sociedad.
Would you go for a €12m-valued MLS striker instead of paying €170m for Neymar?
