Fati's father: 'If I die, nothing happens because Ansu debuted for Barca'
- The 16-year-old's father Bori goes emotional when describing his feelings after Ansu's debut.
- Fati became Barca's second younger player ever to debut for Blaugrana.
- His display was praiseworthy and he almost scored a goal on his dream night.
Ansu Fati's father Bori goes emotional when speaking about his son's first competitive game for Barcelona.
"I can die today. If I die nothing happens because Ansu has already debuted with FC Barcelona," Bori says to the local radio.
The 16-year-old became Barca's second younger player (16 years and 298 days) to debut for the Catalans after Vicenc Martinez (16 years and 280 days) back in October 1941. Ansu's appearance received a standing ovation from a home crowd.
The Juvenil A winger was extremely close to making his debut night even more remarkable. Ansu was active in front of goal and almost scored in one of the episodes as his shot went a bit off target.
The forward is considered to be one of La Masia's best prospects. The winger managed to become the best league scorer (15) playing at Juvenil A last season. What's more, two of Ansu's goals helped his team equalize against Chelsea in the UEFA Youth League semifinals.
Last month, Ansu signed his new contract at Barca with an impressive release clause of €100m.
