Rafinha has been linked with Valencia since the start of this summer. However, this saga is still dragging on even though the transfer window shuts down next Monday. What could be the reason behind the delay?
According to Diario Sport, Valencia have recently turned into a battlefield between the club's owner Peter Lim and their sporting director Alemany who is also supported by the coach, Marcelino. The tensions are said to be so high that both Marcelino and Alemany had been linked with a potential departure before the start of the league season.
That's why Rafinha's transfer hasn't been sealed yet - Valencia inner circle are still unable to agree on whether the Brazilian is even needed at the Mestalla stadium, Sport continue.
Both Marcelino and Alemany consider Rafinha a key player and a potential reinforcement for Valencia. Lim, however, is strongly against this signing.
Previously, Barca and Valencia are unable to agree on the financial terms of Rafinha's transfer. The Brazilian is expected to renew with the Catalans and join Los Che on loan as they are reluctant to complete a permanent deal.
