Barcelona confirm Firpo injury status
- Junior has suffered a left knee injury.
- The recovery dates are yet well unknown.
- Thus, Jordi Alba remains the only left-back option for Osasuna game.
Barcelona are left without one of their defensive back-up options on Saturday.
Junior Firpo will not travel with the squad to Pamplona. The Spaniard felt discomfort in his left knee during Friday's final training as he was training individually.
Now, the club has released an official statement confirming that the 23-year-old suffered a strained internal lateral ligament in his left knee.
Thus, Jordi Alba will need to be very careful on Saturday as there are no more left-back options available. Juan Miranda, who is considered to be the third-tier left-back at the team, is currently completing his loan move to Schalke 04.
By the way, this is Firpo's third injury in a year. The defender spent almost 4 months on the sidelines during his last season at Real Betis.
