Rivaldo explains how Neymar could prove his worth to Barcelona
- The 47-year-old believes the forward has to earn a Camp Nou comeback if he really wants it.
- The iconic Brazilian stresses a good Champions League campaign could help the 27-year-old.
- Winning the Ligue 1 once again is not an achievement, the former Catalans' attacker points out.
Rivaldo, a Blaugrana icon and a big appreciator of his compatriot's talent, believes the Ligue 1 champions have not received a proper offer for the 27-year-old. The 2002 World Cup winner has told Betfair what the attacker has to do to convince Barcelona to pay big money for him:
"A good Champions League campaign - better than on the two previous seasons - could be crucial for the Brazilian star to prove his huge value.
"Being crowned as Ligue 1 champion is too easy and won't represent a significant achievement for the club, so he must step up on Champions League."
In the meantime, Neymar has not been included in the PSG squad this term so far - presumably, because of the transfer controversy around the Brazilian star.
Without their ace, Les Parisiens have still climbed to the top of the Ligue 1 table. Thomas Tuchel's lads have won three of the four fixtures so far, losing once to Rennes - the team which, alongside Nice and Angers, could boast the exact same record as the French heavyweights at this stage.
