- The striker sustained a calf injury during the Bilbao game.
- His recovery is going better than expected.
- The medica staff reckon the Uruguayan could return to group training next Wednesday.
- Thus, Luis could be ready for the matches against Valencia and Borussia Dortmund.
According to the latest updates on Luis Suarez's physical conditions from Diario AS, the striker hopes to play in the next league game against Valencia at Camp Nou. Reportedly, the Uruguayan's recovery is going better than expected.
The same source suggests that the forward could return to group training already on Wednesday, which would make him available for the upcoming clash against Los Che. However, it's unclear if Ernesto Valverde will field the player from the start or play him off the bench.
As a reminder, the Uruguay international suffered a calf injury during the La Liga opener against Athletic Bilbao and was forced off the pitch in the first half. As such, he has missed two league games (vs Real Betis, Osasuna).
Moreover, AS also suggest that Leo Messi could be back in action as well. The player sustained a calf injury back in August and has been unavailable ever since. It was expected that the Argentine would be available for the Osasuna game but the medical staff decided not to take risks.
According to a previous report from Marca, Valverde already plans to use the Messi-Suarez-Griezmann trio in the next game.
