Wenger names one Messi's quality which makes him stand out from Salah
- Wenger finds certain similarities between Messi and Mo.
- However, Messi is a bit less selfish at the final stages of attacks.
Arsene Wenger believes Salah might be a bit greedy with his obsession of finalizing the opportunities himself. And it's the field in which Salah must look up to Lionel Messi as former Arsenal manager claims the two have some similarities.
"He [Salah] has similarities with Messi," Wenger told beIN Sports. "He must find the consistency of Messi.
"I find him a good finisher but Messi has the complete thing, he gives the final ball as well.
"Salah is a bit obsessed with finishing himself."
However, when comparing the number of assists the two usually provide, it could be well said that Leo wins over Salah with a slight margin. Last season, for example, Liverpool winger made 11 assists in the Premier League while Messi registered 15. Bearing in mind that the average level of football in the EPL remains higher than in La Liga, we could imagine Leo making about the same number of assists as the Egyptian did last season.
Still, Arsene Wenger's speech was more dedicated to Liverpool's latest fixture against Burnley which saw Salah being quite more selfish than usual and not giving the last pass to Sadio Mane as the Reds were pushing towards another goal. The Senegalese was completely furious with his teammate as he displayed his negative reaction after being benched.
