3 key reasons why Barcelona are in no rush to play Messi
The 32-year-old remains a huge doubt for Valencia and Borussia Dortmund clashes and it doesn't look like Blaugrana are in any hurry to play the Argentine. Marca list 3 reasons why Barca are ready to take their time with Leo:
- Despite having a hard start to La Liga season, there's still plenty of time to make up for lost points.
- Lifting the CL trophy remains Barca's main priority. Doing it with healthy Messi is a much easier task.
- It's still unknown if the injury will have any lasting effect on Leo Messi, so there's no need to hurry too.
As a reminder, Leo picked up an injury during pre-season, before Barca's games against Napoli. Barca fans haven't watched the King in action for 4 months.
Last game Leo played for Barca was that memorable Copa del Rey final vs Valencia on May 25.
His last appearance for Argentina took place at the Copa America on July 6.
