Lautaro's agent: 'It would be nice to see him at Barca with Messi'
- Lautaro is one of the most promising Argentinian forwards.
- Blaugrana had been linked with him in the past.
- The player's agent says it would be great for him to join Messi at Barca.
Speaking to TyC Sports about his impressive growth over the past year, the 22-year-old's agent Beto Yaque said:
"He has grown enormously at Inter and in the national team and it doesn’t surprise me at all because I shared every moment with him: he has no limits.
"It would be nice to see him with Messi at Barcelona," added the agent.
Yaque also opened up on the player's move to Inter Milan in 2018:
"Lautaro is very humble. It was not easy to convince him to leave his hometown because he is very close to his family. He suffered a lot due to being away from home but luckily his parents trusted me.
"Before going to Inter, I told him he would not struggle to settle in because I know that whatever Lautaro puts his mind to, he achieves. It is no mean feat to waltz into San Siro and play as if it’s your backyard."
The forward has been linked with Barca in the past. According to the Argentinian source Radio La Red, Barca were apparently willing to pay Inter Milan €112m for the 22-year-old so they can take some pressure of Luis Suarez for the 2019-20. Lautaro only joined Inter last summer for around €30m and has recently agreed to extend his contract with Italian club for another year, until 2024.
After just one season at San Siro with 9 goals scored in 35 games, the forward's price has quadrupled.
