Antoine Griezmann earns special praise from Madrid hero after top-class Eibar display
- The Frenchman took part in each of Barca's 3 goals at Eibar over the weekend.
- Jorge Valdano has praised the 28-year-old as a complete all-around striker.
Antoine Griezmann's may have joined Barcelona only a few months ago but his heroics with the Catalans so far have already impressed former Real Madrid forward Jorge Valdano. After the La Liga gameweek 9, the Frenchman is the league's best player in terms of goal involvement - 4 goals, 3 assists.
The latest ones in each category came on Saturday as the Catalans defeated Eibar 3-0 at Ipurua.
"Griezmann is great not only with the ball but without it, he is a striker who plays all over the pitch," Valdano said, as cited by Marca.
Griezmann signed from the Blaugrana from Atletico Madrid in July. Barca triggered the World Cup winner's £108million release clause to help Leo Messi and Co. bring the Champions League trophy back at Camp Nou for the first time since 2015.
The Catalans return to the European action on Wednesday in an away group stage clash with Slavia Prague, kick-off is at 21:00 CEST.
