Gerard Pique: Jordi Alba's dad has to drive him to training sessions
- Ansu Fati is still too young to drive himself.
- Pique reveals that Fati's dad drives him to and from training sessions.
- And he adds that it's the same situation with his other teammate - Jordi Alba.
Gerard Pique paid a visit to a show called 'La Resistencia'. There he had a nice chat about football, himself and, of course, his teammates.
One of the questions the Barca player was asked is how exactly does Ansu Fati come to the training ground. The deal is the player is still underage to drive a car himself. The youngster is 17 years old and Spain's laws allow to get the driving licence at the age of 18. That's why the host of the show imagined an idyllic picture from old American movies where the protagonist is picked up by a school bus from his house every morning.
But Pique brushed this idea off, revealing everything is simpler: "His father takes him, like Jordi Alba."
And this detail is what's even more interesting. It's not clear if the Barca man made a joke about the 30-year-old Jordi Alba and that his dad has to drive him around or not.
We can't either confirm or deny this information as there is no evidence showing if Alba can drive a car. There are several pictures of him in some cars or nears some cars. But we couldn't find any showing the player behind the wheel himself.
