Skriniar's ex-agent confirms Madrid close to an agreement with Inter
- Milan Skriniar has emerged as the Barcelona target.
- Real Madrid, meanwhile, are said to all but have agreed a €100m deal for the 24-year-old.
- Blaugrana were considering Slovakia international as a replacement for Umtiti.
Milan Skriniar's former agent insists that our La Liga rivals have all but agreed to a €100m deal for the 24-year-old.
"Skriniar costs €100m. Real Madrid and Barcelona have fought for his signature for two years. Right now, Madrid is close to an agreement with Inter. They need the player and they need a defender more than Barca do.
Barcelona are in need of a defender because of Samuel Umtiti's injury record. The Frenchman has made just one appearance in five months.
This season, the 24-year-old has played in 12 games so far (9 in Serie A and 3 in the Champions League), making 20 successful tackles and intercepting the ball 9 times. He is currently untouchable at Antonio Conte's Inter: Barca and Man United will have to offer a huge amount of money to convince Nerazzurri to sell the Slovak.
Previously, Mundo Deportivo already mentioned that Barcelona scouts were keeping tabs on Inter centre-backs, both Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.
We wouldn't want to lose such a complete defender to Madrid:
