Ex-Milan goalkeeper Dida doesn't think Neymar 'made a mistake' by leaving Barca but still wants him back
- Neymar wanted to return to Barca this summer after leaving for PSG back in 2017.
- Former Milan player Dida says Neymar wasn't wrong to leave.
- Still, it would benefit both him and Barca, if he's back.
In his recent talk to SER, former Milan goalkeeper Dida touched upon Neymar's departure from Catalonia back in 2017 and the fact that he pushed for a Camp Nou return this summer.
"I think Neymar can return to Barca, it would help them a lot.
"Yes, I think that Neymar can return to Barca. Why not? He wants to return. He has had the opportunity to go try to be the king of a team, the one that makes a difference.
"This year he is not playing too much. He's not getting lucky but if he comes back here with the great Barca players, he will be better and help Barca.
"I don't think he made a mistake by leaving for Paris. He did well. He just needs to play again and score goals, help his team win titles to get back into the top 3."
Barcelona did try to bring their former player back at Camp Nou this summer. The Catalans did travel to Paris to negotiate a possible deal but the French side were reluctant to let the 27-year-old leave. What's more, Barca's officials have refused rule out another attempt to sign Brazilian next summer
According to Barca sporting director Eric Abidal, the 'door is still open' for Neymar to return to Camp Nou next summer. It looks like both parties, Barca and Ney, want the move to happen.
Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director Leonardo Araujo, meanwhile, assumes that Neymar will leave the club next summer (Paris United). It is said that the Parisians won't offer the Brazilian a new contract after the soap opera from last summer.
Neymar has been struggling with injuries once again this season. So far, the forward has appeared in only seven matches while scoring four goals.
