Things didn't go smoothly for the 28-year-old against his former team. There were disgusting 'Griezmann die' chants heard from the Wanda Metropolitano stands. Now both Cope and Cadena Ser claim the whole incident could be brought by the La Liga officials to the Competition Committee and Spanish Football Federation's Anti-Violence committee.
Moreover, Griezmann's plaque outside the Wanda Metropolitano stadium got vandalized shortly before the kick-off. An angry fan was throwing beer cans and even toy rats at Griezmann's plaque.
