Marca: Pogba to Barca move was never a possibility
- Barcelona have reportedly never made an offer for the Frenchman
- The Catalans simply don't have enough money for such a move
- All the rumours were made to benefit the player's agent Raiola
According to main Spanish sports newspaper Marca, Barcelona have NEVER approached Manchester United star Paul Pogba. Even though the Italian news outlet Calciomercato reported on an astronomical £350,000-a-week deal which had been 'agreed' with both Barca and Pogba, the newspaper strongly denies these rumours, as well as other speculations. 'It was never a possibility', Marca prominent writer Luis F. Rojo firmly states.
The report goes on with insisting the Catalans don't even have the necessary funds to orchestrate such a daring move. They still have the wages of their own players to be paid. while the transfer fee for Pogba could cost a fortune. According to Transfermarkt, Pogba's market value is £81m, however, we all know how the market works these days. By the way, the Frenchman was re-signed by Manchester United back in 2016 for £94.50m, as per the same source.

Marca writer Luis F. Rojo explains where these crazy Pogba-to-Barca rumours have originated from. 'The Catalan club fed the rumours in a strategy to wear down the English side, and the great beneficiaries were the player and his agent Mino Raiola,' he claims. Curiously, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and the sources within the club held the same opinion, blaming super agent Raiola for 'hawking' Pogba all around Europe.
This striking revelation will be a true relief for Blaugrana fans who were strongly opposed of Pogba's arrival, claiming he is not the type of player Barcelona need and mocking his crazy hairstyles.
Here’s an opinion about Pogba:-— BarcaTimes (@BarcaTimes) August 7, 2018
Buying Pogba isn’t what Barcelona need right now. Although he may be world class, but signing him will add another midfielder to the already long list we have and that will cost Aleña and Puig their time with the first team. pic.twitter.com/8RnBkVLIaR
