Arsene Wenger shares his thoughts on Aaron Ramsey's contract situation
- The former Gunners' boss believes the difficult situation might be still resolved positively for Arsenal
- The Welshman is in a position to dictate terms, Wenger claims
- A host of European clubs, Juve included, are allegedly tracking Ramsey's uneasy situation at Arsenal
Asked whether Arsenal need to renew with the 27-year-old, Wenger said, quoted by the FourFourTwo: "We tried that before and it still can happen.
"I don't really know what's happening at Arsenal. Sure, Aaron Ramsey is in a strong position now and he will use this position.
"But I don't know how far Arsenal will go in terms of giving him a huge contract. These things were once my responsibility, but not anymore. I'm happy about that."
Hate on me all you want, but Aaron Ramsey is a world class footballer and one of the best in our squad, if not the best. Need him to stay, but if the club really don't want to go through with it, then so be it. Going to cherish every moment left of his in an Arsenal shirt.— LTArsenal™ (@ltarsenal) October 7, 2018
There will be a fierce competition for Ramsey's services soon as a host of European clubs presumably keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old midfielder, who is set to become a free agent from June 30, 2019.
