Allegri provides injury updates ahead of crucial clashes
- Mario Mandzukic is a major doubt for two crucial clashes against Bologna and AC Milan
- Joao Cancelo, meanwhile, might be back for Supercoppa clash vs AC Milan
- Max Allegri admits he plans to field De Sciglio instead of Joao Cancelo
The Old Lady have just confirmed that Mandzukic had to be withdrawn from Thursday’s training session with a flexor problem in his left thigh.
It is now understood that World Cup finalist will be missing Saturday’s Coppa Italia last-16 tie at Bologna.
He is also described as a ‘major doubt’ for the Saudi Arabian clash with AC Milan on January 16.

Cancelo, meanwhile, has not played since Juve’s 1-0 win against Inter on December 7 and has also recently undergone surgery to restore torn cartilage in his right knee a week after.
And now it has been reported that the 24-year-old will be up and ready for next week’s Supercoppa against Milan, as Max Allegri has said during today’s presser:
“On the right, De Sciglio will play. Cancelo? He’ll return in the Supercoppa,” Allegri said before the Bianconeri’s Coppa Italia last-16 tie with Bologna on Saturday.
