Juve fails to sign ex-Porto & Rangers defender Alves
- The Bianconeri seem to be desperate to sign back-up defender for injured Giorgio Chiellini
- They have allegedly approached the likes of Gary Cahill and Bruno Alves
- Parma, however, admitted not being interested in shipping off their veteran defender
Daniele Faggiano, Parma's sporting director rejects all speculations that Bruno Alves will be on a deadline day move to Juventus.
The 37-year-old veteran defender emerged as a surprise transfer target for Juventus as the Old Lady lost Giorgio Chiellini to calf injury during Wednesday's Coppa Italia quarter-final defeat to Atalanta.
"Nothing's been done for Bruno Alves," Faggiano told Sky Sport Italia. "We haven't talked to anyone, not even with Juventus.
"We have already agreed the renewal [with Alves], we just have to sign it. And I do not agree a renewal and then loan out a player."
Bruno Alves - I don’t care what he is done in his career but he just hasn’t done it for me. He will be a high earner and not getting value for money. Sure he will have offere elsewhere. pic.twitter.com/9h5CLRNvIS— Kal-El (@Superman_RFC) April 23, 2018
While Bianconeri are being allegedly linked with an approach for Param's new arrival, Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri suggests he's happy with whatever options he has at his disposal, as he discussed Chiellini's calf injury:
"He has a discomfort on the outer calf. It should not be anything to worry about, otherwise, there will be [Martin] Caceres.”
