'Let them talk about Liverpool and United': James Maddison sends title message

2 months ago, Divij K

  • Leicester sit in first place after a comfortable win over Chelsea.
  • James Maddison says he's okay with Leicester being underrated.
  • Maddison has repeated the 'one game at a time' mantra Jurgen Klopp is so fond of.

“We're at the top of the league because we work hard we're not there by fluke,” Maddison told Sky Sports after Leicester beat Chelsea.

“We'll do our business in the background, let them talk about Liverpool, Man United and Spurs, we'll just keep doing what we're doing.

“The most important game is the next game, as cliche as it is that's how we have to work because we have that mentality.

“You can get sidetracked, we are top at the minute because we don't think like that.”

James Maddison was on the scoresheet for the Foxes in their 2-0 win over a struggling Chelsea, sending Leicester to the top of the table.

Liverpool are now 4 points off Leicester with a game in hand and play Brendan Rodgers's side on February 13th.

Gotta hand it to Madison, one game at a time mentality, they are doing what we are not, when are we going to start,I hope with Burnley 2 moro, change the front 3 for starters,Mane,Shaquiri, and takumi to start, salah and firmino on bench.

i wouldn't hand to much to him B. that Mentality thing cliche, he learnt from us from last season when when our Lad Hendo kept on repeating it like a parrot when he was interviewed after games. like you say i hope we can find that winning Mentality starting with Burnley.

I hope so Burgundy, its funny,Leicster learnt well, chip off the old block,so what happened yo us,vvd gets injured Gomez injured and a few others, and we fall off the rails,I'm a fighter and don't like 2nd best, may sound a bit harsh, like a bit between the teeth,we have to get up and fight, something wrong with salah,I feel it,dont think all they say about him is real honest stuff, may be s.thing in the closet not right..I don't know, but from mentality monsters to all quiet on the western front, like some romantic Western on a beautiful night out, chalk and cheese,we need the first edition back and quickly...How to get back to winning ways and smartly.

their probably trying to hard or not trying hard enough. due to it being shopping window month maybe who knows B. i remember a season when we were knocking teams down like skittles and as soon as Mane went to the African cup of Nations we couldn't win a game to save our life's. until Mane returned. our team is acutely balanced you take one component from the team and the rhythm goes all over the place. just like it has right now were without Virgil and Gomez.. Burgundy,we're in danger of going out of the top 4,someone in the team must put there hand up and score some goals, loose or draw against Burnley, that'll be the curtain coming down,we then have westham away, and totnim in there backyard, and mourinho rubbing his grubby little hands yo revenge his loss yo us in the first game, believe it or not Leicster are firing on all 4s,we are stuttering,we need tha mentality monsters back.

So so true Bri. Mourinho is jumping out off his Pram itching to exact revenge against us. but we'll take one game at a time. first lets burn the Burnley and take it from there Bud.

Burgundy,we were burnt by Burnley, what now, were done in the premiership there's no coming back from this, trouble in the camp I think as well as owners, how can we go from Heroes to villains in one season grant it we had injuries,I hope Leicester win the title I hate the thought of city or even united doing it..what a gutless performance,we never change formations,I'm sick of this 4-3-3 we're sitting ducks, ole soljaer making klop look like a schoolboy teaching him lessons..

Chances were created shots were taken in and around the edge of the 18 yard box. but there seems to be a mental problem in our finishing or lack of intelligence. there's no real zip or power in our shots and when there is its straight at the goal keeper or hitting post or crossbar. lady luck whatever we want to call it has definately deserted us. last season half of those chances would of gone in. the team requires shooting practice feeble weak shots gives keepers time to adjust and move accordingly. But Origi should of scored. and ive never said it before but i think he should be sold. i thank him for the champions league goals n all that but he needs to go and go now. all he had to do was lob the keeper instead the idiot went for raw power so i blame him for our home record lost. i think the month of January has put a halt on whatever ambitions we had this season. come February March we'll come through like a train just like in the ole days before we won the holy grail. but it will all be in vane. the month of January would of done its damage on us dont even think about Champions league. Klopp has to put away that pretty smile and sentimental Stubbornness. and get real and serious when it comes to bringing in players. even though he's proper cash strapped by the yanky owners. that seems to be one reason why we aint getting a CB in this January window.

were very much still in it JC i think were bang on half way through the season more or less. and maybe once this shopping window closes it will settle the lads nerves, and they'll get back to doing what they do best which is winning Matches again.

we will get it right!! if the effing refs stop ball watching and concentrate on the antics going on in the box on set pieces every match a see in the Premier games is shirt pulling, grabbing, impedance, and spitting etc and nothing given because refs are ball watching and that VAR is crap get rid of it. unwa
