Liverpool former coach Pako Ayesteran warns Reds: 'Champions League doesn't allow you any mistakes'
Rafael Benitez's assistant still believes Liverpool are capable of winning the Champions League if only they remain focused against Manchester City.
“The Champions League is a special competition. As with any other knockout competition, you cannot make mistakes. The Champions League doesn't allow you any mistakes. In this case you have to be focused, determined in every half, every game you are going to play.
“I think Liverpool has the quality and has the level to go all the way but they have to be sure during the league you can make mistakes and you have time to recover.
“In the Champions League you have not. In spite at the moment there will be just four games from the final, if they (Liverpool) are focused and determined as they have been until the last game, why can't they go all the way? In a knockout competition, anything can happen.”
