Sky: Liverpool reportedly want to sign Aaron Ramsey until deadline day
- The 27-year-old Arsenal midfielder attracts interest from LFC, according to transfer expert Ian McGarry
- Unai Emery wants Ramsey to stay
Speaking to the Sky Sports' Transfer Podcast, transfer expert Ian McGarry claims Liverpool are seeking to land Aaron Ramsey, who has missed Chelsea pre-season clash through injury, before the transfer window shuts: "There’s a little bit of interest from Liverpool, I understand.
"I think there’s no vacancy at Liverpool right now following the arrival of Fabinho and Naby Keita but Ramsey would certainly be a very good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad as a creative box-to-box midfielder.
"So, Ramsey is taking time and quite rightly to weigh up his options."
The 27-year-old Welshman has 1 year left on his contract and the north London club don't want to let him go as a free agent next summer.
Since the 13/14 season, Aaron Ramsey averages atleast a goal or assist every 2 games from midfield. Also important to mention he's played some matches on the right flank which is not even his natural position. Insane numbers, insane talent. Club Legend. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery, by the way, has stated he'd like Aaron Ramsey to stay at Arsenal no matter what: "I think my opinion is clear, I want him to be with us, but then it’s one question for the player and the club. My opinion is professional and is in the interest of the team."
Do you think we need Ramsey as a midfield option? ?
