Echo: LFC said to be confident in raising significant fee for Ings
- Liverpool are confident the club will get in excess of £20million from a suitor for Danny Ings as his exit seems imminent
- Several Prem sides are lining up a move with Palace favourites for his signature
Our striker is still considering his options as several Premier League side are interested in securing his services. Crystal Palace are favourites to land him ahead of next Thursday's transfer deadline. Southampton, Leicester City and Newcastle United are also in the race.
Liverpool won't lower £20million asking price plus add-ons.
The club reckons Ings, aged 26, is in the prime of life and the side he decides to join will be a lucky one.
Jurgen Klopp would be glad to keep Ings, who is a decent backup option for the front line. However, Danny aims to play regularly, which is impossible due to firepower the head coach has at his disposal.
Echo state that Klopp is ready to sanction his sale.
Ings joined Anfield in 2015 from Burnley for a £6.5m fee.
Sad it hasn’t worked out for Danny Ings at Liverpool given he’s such a likeable character, but £24m is great business by the club. He’ll now get a sustained run of games to try and restart his career. Wish him well.— Leanne Prescott (@_lfcleanne) August 2, 2018
