Leon Bailey admits uncertainty over his future amid LFC interest
- The 20-year-old forward states his future is up in the air as Liverpool and Chelsea after him
- His deal with Bayer runs until and is valued at €45m by Transfermarkt
"There's concrete interest," Bailey told Kicker when asked about interest from Chelsea and Liverpool and continued: "I don't want to make any promises. What I can say is: My focus is fully on developing as a young player. That's what I'm concentrating on. If a club want me, my management and Bayer 04 will take care of it. They'll make the decision."
Media reports have linked the forward to a Premier League switch this summer. Roma have also been after the 20-year-old as they missed out on Malcom signing, who joined Barcelona in the end.
Bailey was a breakthrough player of the last Bundesliga season. The left winger scored 12 goals and made 6 assists in 34 appearances for his club last season which was his first full year at the club. His contract with the German outfit runs until 2022 and Transfermarkt rate him at €45m, which is normally lower than the actual price the club could demand.
The transfer window shuts on August 9, which make this move unlikely. Liverpool are also claimed to be interested in signing Christian Pulisic from Dortmund, who is also a winger. Borussia, however, resist to selling the 19-year-old star this summer.
