Sheyi Ojo reveals 'ideal scenario' for his career
- The 21-year-old winger says he is ready to fight for his spot under Klopp
- He credits Klopp for career progress
Sheyi spent a few seasons on loan at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers. Last term he helped Fulham get promoted to the Premier League, winning Championship with Cottagers. Now, he aims to prove his worth at Anfield:
"Last season was a great learning experience despite the injuries and I feel like I'm a lot more mature and ready for the season. The ideal scenario is always to stay and fight for your spot, but I've got to make a decision based on my career, on my football.
"I'm eager to play and I'm eager to show what I can do and get a consistent run of games."
Quiet deadline day at #LFC - Danny Ings probably the only one to watch today. Told no progress on a move for Sheyi Ojo at this stage, and all quiet on Marko Grujic front.— Neil Jones (@neiljonesgoal) August 9, 2018
The rest - Mignolet, Origi, Markovic - can run for rest of month. No incomings expected.
He is grateful to Klopp for developing his game.
"He's is a great manager. He's very tactical with his work. He's always trying to give you advice on what to do, and he's definitely helped me improve as a player and as a person."
According to media reports, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion are all eyeing a move for the forward.
