Impressed Klopp opens up on Alisson's Premier League debut
- The boss has claimed he didn's expect such confidence from the Brazilian and singled out the shot-stopper's on-the-ball abilities
Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: "Alisson played a fantastic game, being really concentrated. We all expect these boys to act like machines but they are not, they are human beings.
"In the first game, you could be nervous. Obviously, both [Alisson and Keita] were not nervous, which is good. Especially in our possession, he was a very dominant figure."

After the Hammers' clash, asked how Alisson had settled in on Merseyside, Virgil van Dijk expressed pretty much the same thought, quoted by the Goal: "Very good. We speak a lot. He’s very vocal and that helps. It helps me and everyone in the back line. I think his presence is very good as well.
Apart from being commanding and simply a perfect shot-stopper, the Brazilian has decent on-the-ball abilities, the Dutch revealed: "He has a lot of qualities on the ball that helps get us playing. We’ve worked on it the whole pre-season and we’ll keep practising. There’s still a lot to do."
Indeed, in the game against West Ham, overall, Alisson made 31 passes. That's more than Jack Wilshere, Declan Rice, Felipe Anderson, Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio, Angelo Ogbonna, Ryan Fredericks and even Reds star Mohamed Salah have done in 90 minutes.
