- van Dijk predicts many difficulties ahead of Liverpool
- He also admits today's game was tough
"It’s a very tough game. We knew before the game it would be. I don’t think the big teams ever win here comfortably. I’m happy with a clean sheet. I think a well-deserved three points.
"We know how direct Crystal Palace are looking for Benteke and then the other striker. It’s always going to be tough but we were ready for the fight.
"We have an amazing team and manager. We practice every day on how to get better. We showed a lot of good things today – we need to be proud of ourselves today.
"We've got to try to win everything. It's been a while but we don't need to think too much ahead. We've only played two games, it'll be a very long road and a tough year."
