Gomez out for six weeks due to leg fracture

Liverpool FC confirm that Joe Gomez has picked up a serious injury against Burnley. The right-back was stretchered off the pitch 23 minutes into the game and replaced by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
"Gomez’s injury was further assessed by the Reds’ medical team at Melwood on Thursday," the club statement says.
The defender appeared to have a fracture in his lower left leg. He will have to spend up to six weeks out of action. The club mention though his actual recovery time will depend on how his treatment and rehabilitation programmes progress.
