Alexander-Arnold hails the Cherries win: 'We needed this to push on'
Trent Alexander-Arnold had to play an unusual role of a second-half sub in the game against Bournemouth.
Despite the right-back had returned to full training before the game and hadn't complained about his fitness, Jurgen Klopp opted to start James Milner at right-back.
Trent appeared 14 minutes before the half-time and was really close to scoring a goal against the Cherries. After the game, he said that the 3-0 win was just what Liverpool needed after two draws at Leicester and West Ham.
"Hopefully the supporters saw one of the best performances of the season," said the full-back after the game. "We hardly put a foot wrong. I said to Jordan Henderson that I’d never seen Anfield like that at 3pm on Saturday. We needed this to push on."
