Klopp adamant Ox will be fit to play after international break
- Jordan Henderson is expected to be fit after the international break.
- Naby Keita will be assessed on Friday.
- Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be '100 per cent fit' for the Tottenham game.
Prior to the away game against Fulham, Jurgen Klopp has provided fitness updates for Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Klopp hopes the upcoming international break will be long enough to bring Reds captain back. The skipper twisted his ankle in the opening minutes of the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and was replaced with Fabinho in the 14th minute.
The gaffer doubts Henderson will be fit for the Sunday trip to the Craven Cottage.
"With Hendo we don’t know - it’s serious enough to rule him out for the weekend," Klopp told his news conference on Friday. "The international break will hopefully be long enough to bring him back.
"It is to do with his ankle. It’s the best it can be but still not good enough, it’s okay though."
Naby Keita is on the way to full fitness and may be available for selection after medical checks.
"We have to see if Naby can train today, he’ll come in later for checks and it was positive so hopefully it stays positive when he goes outside," Klopp said.
The most positive news, however, is that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be back immediately after the international break. That means Ox could feature against Tottenham on March 31.
"Ox will be 100% fit after the international break," Klopp said.
