Ex-Red Beglin insists Liverpool had a better season than City
- Former Liverpool full-back Jim Beglin reminds the fans last season there was a 25-point gap between Man City and Liverpool.
- The progress our team have made throughout this season is unbelievable.
- Therefore, Liverpool had a better season than City.
- And all this is thanks to Klopp's talents.
Former Liverpool full-back Jim Beglin insists Liverpool didn't just have an incredible season by their own standards. He claims they had a better season than Manchester City.
Yes, the Citizens won the Premier League on 2018-2019 season, but the Reds' tremendous progress makes their season look much bleaker.
Last season Manchester City won the league with 100 points while Liverpool managed to get just 75. This 25-point gap was closed just in a matter of one season.
Let's talk about facts.— Señor (@EnRouteAnfield) May 13, 2019
Chelsea - 25 points behind
Tottenham - 26 points behind
Arsenal - 27 points behind
Man United - 31 points behind
Everton - 43 points behind
Think about the state of your own clubs before laughing at Liverpool.
Beglin gives Klopp's recruitment and coaching talents credit for such a huge amount of work done:
"I would have to say Liverpool, based on the gap from last year. What was it, 25 points?
"Huge credit has to go Jurgen Klopp for the way he has managed things, the recruitment that he made last summer.
"He’s completely changed the mentality of the club, he gets everything he possibly can out of the players.
"I know it sounds like bias on my part but considering the fact they’re closing a 25-point gap to potentially winning the title, it’s a phenomenal season and one they can be extremely proud of."
