According to the latest reports from Fabrizio Romano, an extremely reputable journalist who works for Sky Italia, Matthijs De Ligt is set to snub Liverpool, Barcelona and United and join Paris Saint-Germain.
owever, ex-Ajax coach Frank De Boer believes joining the French team would be a big mistake:
"I think it would not be the best option for him to go to Paris Saint-Germain. They are a great team but their are not yet among the top and their style of play would not benefit him.
"To me, Manchester City or Barcelona would better suit him and his characteristics, for sure," the ex-Dutch international said.
"For me he is a very talented player. He has had a spectacular year, and his potential is very good. His game will go very well to the game of Barca as it is not very different from that of Ajax. The style is more or less the same. He wouild triumph there," Frank said regarding the centre-back.
