Liverpool fans confused with Firmino's message to his wife, Larissa
- The 27-year-old posted snaps on Instagram of himself and his wife.
- He congratulates his sweetheart, wishing her a 'Happy Valentine's Day'.
- Liverpool fans were left confused until made informed that Valentine's day is celebrated on June 12 in Brazil.
Despite being away on international duty, Bobby Firmino always finds time for his beloved wife Larissa Firmino.
He made no exception this time around too, taking to the Instagram to congratulate his sweetheart with 'Happy Valentine's Day', writing
"Feliz dia dos namorados minha eterna namorada @larissa_peereira. Eu sou louco por ti."
This translates as 'Happy Valentine's Day my eternal girlfriend @larissa_peereira I'm crazy about you.'
Liverpool fans were utterly confusing, taking to Twitter in numbers.
One commented: "Your four months late mate".
Another said: "Is today Valentine's Day?"
Well, it is, for Brazilians at least. Dia dos Namorados, as the Brazilians call it is celebrated each year on June 12. It has absolutely no connection to the Roman saint and is translated as Boyfriends’ or Girlfriends’ Day.
It does relate to Saint Anthony's Day, (June 13), the saint who blesses the newlyweds and help single people in finding their soulmates.
