Who will win?
Hi and welcome to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin where Liverpool face Torino.
Liverpool XI: Alisson, Clyne, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita, Salah, Mane, Firmino.
Napoli XI: Karnezis, Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Luperto, Allan, Hamsik, Fabian, Callejon, Milik, Insigne.
The two sides have met just twice in the past, in the group stage of the Champions League in 2010: they drew in Naples while Liverpool won the reverse fixture at Anfield thanks to a late Steven Gerrard hat-trick.
Liverpool are missing Ragnar Klavan, Adam Lallana, Marko Grujic and Joel Matip due to injuries, while Danny Ings is still working to regain his fitness.
Milner's cross towards Firmino is just a little bit to close to Karnezis and the goalkeeper claims it.
GOOOAAAAL!!! Liverpool shed the first blood! The Reds' pressing leads to a turnover, then they move the ball around the box really quick to find James Milner wide open in an excellent position and the midfielder tucks it away!
Alisson receives a huge ovation from the Dublin crowd every time he touches the ball.
Insigne gets behind the defence but had to wait for the ball to settle, tries to rob Alisson but the Brazilian 'keeper tips it and the defenders clear.
Anpther quick sting from the Reds, Mane is wide open in the box but a great recovery allows one of the defenders to block his effort.
GOOOAAAL!!! Another one, it's Wijnaldum! Milner bends an excellent in-swinging cross from the left and the midfielder beats everyone to it!
This game has been wide open, back and forth right from the kick off. Entertaining football.
A long shot from Insigne is not threatening the goal.
Liverpool are dominating the play, looking for more.
However, Carlo Ancelotti's side have impoved defensively. Liverpool can't quite crack the defence with is like they did in the first ten minutes.
Napoli have now seized possession but the work rate of the Reds' attackers is simply amazing, they're not letting the opposition even make passes unchallenged.
Finally a good opportunity for Milik but his try from 18 yards goes wide of the post.
Insigne goes for goal from just outside th box, Alisson has to scramble over but parries it away for a corner kick.
A corner kick from the left flank creates trouble for the Italian side but the whistle blows as Van Dijk commits a foul.
The pace of the game is down significantly compared to the action early in the match.
Salah finds Firmino behind the defence but the flag's up. The Brazilian scores anyway and appeals that the Napoli player made the last touch but this one won't count.
A long ball towards Callejon who tries to rob Alisson but the flag is up. He was offside.
Napoli have been the better side in the last ten minutes or so but the Reds are holding on to the two-goal lead.
Again Callejon creates a chance and even scores and again it's disallowed because he was offside.
That's it for the first half! An excellent start from the Reds has given them the advantage that they've been able to preserve since.
We're back underway! Mario Rui has replaced Luperto for Napoli. Shaqiri has been brought on for Firmino.
Both sides have launched dangerous crosses in the first few mins of the second half but the defences have been up to the task.
Napoli return fire as they press very high here.
Mane's shot from sharp angle just goes wide of the far post.
Milner and Rui receive treatment after a clash of heads.
Milner is taken off, Fabinho comes on.
Looks like Fabinho will slot in Milner's position on the left side of the midfield three.
GOOOAAAAL!!! A defensive lapse from Napoli gifts a chance to Salah who blasts it top corner to make it 3–0.
Maksimovic replaces Albiol, who though he was fouled right before Salah's goal.
A mass sub for both sides. For the Reds, Mane, Salah, Wijnaldum, Clyne, Robertson off; Moreno, Jones, Alexander-Arnold, Solanke, Sturridge on.
Several stars have come off for Napoli as well, including Callejon, Insigne, Milik and Hamsik.
The two teams are still trying to figure things out after all these changes.
Rui runs with the ball almost from the halfway line and shoots wide… Never looked like he had that shot in him.
Sturridge goes almost one-on-one with the keeper after forcing a turnover but Karnezis makes a great save.
Another chance for Sturridge, he goes for a lob this time around buts it's wide.
Origi replaces Keita. Chiriches on for Koulibaly.
GOOOAAAL!!! On the third try, Sturridge scores! Shaqiri sets up Origi whose shot was saved but it goes right back to Sturridge who makes no mistake!
Gomez makes way for Phillips.
GOOOAAAL!!! It's Moreno!!! An excellent long ball from Sturridge and then a rising shot from Moreno between the goalkeeper's arms!!!
Liverpool keep on going for more. What a show Klopp's team has put on today!
A sharp-angle try from Verdi is saved easily by Alisson. There was very little room there, really.
Solanke is through but his attempt is stopped by Karnezis!
Liverpool are cruising to the finish line. An excellent showing from practically everyone.
Two minutes added on.
Origi finds Sturridge with a cross but he can't quite overpower a defender so his header goes wide.
A reckless turnover gives an opportunity to Verdi but a great recovery from Phillips nullifies the chance.
That's it! A brilliant performance from the team gives Liverpool a 5–0 win in Alisson's debut!
