Daily Mail: Leicester claimed to be ready to hand new improved deal to Maguire to fend off interest from United
According to Daily Mail, Leicester are set to reward Harry Maguire with a new contract on improved terms as his World Cup performances have attracted a lot of interest from top clubs.
The report states, his weekly salary is set to be raised from £45,000 to around £75,000, which will place him among the club's highest earners.
United were mentioned among potential suitors as Jose Mourinho is still looking for a central defender.
The 25-year-old signed his first deal with Leicester last summer after moving from Hull. He has still 4 years left on his present contract, but the Foxes have decided to show they value their rising star and don't want to sell him, by handing a new deal.
