Rio Ferdinand doesn't even question Paul Pogba captaincy
- Pogba was Man United's captain in the 2-1 win vs Leicester City on Friday
- It's a no-brainer for Rio after the glorious World Cup for Pogba
''That’s what we needed, that’s what we want,'' Rio said of Paul's captaincy. ''Pogba’s just won the World Cup, he was one of the main players in the team. We [in the studio] sat there, watched him, was talking so positively about him but can we see it in a United shirt?
''He comes back, four days training, armband on, and puts in a real captain’s performance considering the time he’s had off. That’s as much about his personality, his state of mind, and I think it’s a great statement in Manchester United’s favour from that perspective.
''And you have to say, a great start and a great first laying down of the marker for Jose Mourinho in making sure probably one of his main players comes back and feels a real part of the team, considering what’s gone on in the summer.''
