Ex-Kalidou Koulibaly's agent 'Maybe United have an advantage over others'
- Koulibaly has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch.
- His former agent insists United have been interested in his ex-client for a long time.
- He says €120m will push the deal through.
Kalidou Koulibaly, 27, has been linked with a move to Manchester United despite committing to a new Napoli deal this season. As per some sources, United would be ready to bend to the Serie A club's demands and pay what it takes to lure the elite defender away from San Paolo Stadium.
His former agent Bruno Satin gave his views to Sportnews.eu: ''When I took Kalidou to Napoli, Manchester United had already contacted me to inquire about the boy. He's one of the best defenders in the world and he has the perfect profile for English football.
''United has never stopped following him and maybe they have an advantage over others ... we'll see what happens.''
Koulibaly's season stats:
There are rumours that Napoli's starting price would be over €100m which Satin would consider a deal done.
He added: ''I know the president (Aurelio De Laurentiis) very well. I think that if United or any other team offer him between €110m and €120m they'll sell him (Koulibaly) in the summer.''
100m is about less than 10% of Utds annual turnover. It’s not a lot of money— Rick (@rickierhymes) January 8, 2019
ESPN claim the Senegalese to be open to a summer transfer while the general consensus among various sources is a deal is impossible in January since the player is too valuable to his current team.
Should the club just throw this money at Napoli? Are there better options in terms of money spent?
