Gary Neville doubts 'this group of players' despite Solskjaer's miracle work
- Neville is genuinely amazed by Ole's run so far.
- He doubts his players who downed tools under Mourinho.
- For him, such mentality is not enough for a title push.
Gary Neville is cheering for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to succeed at Manchester United after a dazzling start. Nev backed each post-Sir Alex Ferguson manager so he's not more reserved in his observations. Only it has to do with players.
Neville said on Virgin Radio: ''I think when he (Solskjaer) came in, the club couldn’t have been any lower in terms of expectation, there was a bad feeling around the club. He’s put himself in the frame and he keeps on winning. I think it’s the best start for any Manchester United manager in the history of the club. It’s unbelievable really.
''The Manchester United players at the end were obviously not trying for Mourinho as they just switched the tap on and off. It doesn’t fill me with confidence that they can take Manchester United back to the title. The difference is incredible but I must admit I have my doubts about this group of players.''
Neville probably still doesn't buy into Paul Pogba's 'garbage' explanation of a 'caption this' tweet posted by Paul Pogba minutes after Jose Mourinho had been officially sacked by the club even though an Adidas official confirmed the post had been pre-planned.
He did admit that Pogba, along with three other teammates, has turned the corner to start shining for Ole's team.
