Martial backed to reach Ronaldo heights by Solskjaer
- Solskjaer saw similarities between CR's and Martial's goals against Fulham.
- The coach insists his player knows what to do to be up there with the best.
- He's 'glad' to have the Frenchman, a proper Manchester United player.
Anthony Martial is the closest thing in Man United squad to being a Cristiano Ronaldo 'regen'. At least, that's what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does believe by insisting upon this comparison.
Beating Fulham 3-0 last week drew the comparisons for Ole. In that game, Martial ran half the pitch to made it 2-0 for his team. Back in 2007, Ronaldo scored his winner against Fulham having run a formidable distance akin to Martial.
Solskjaer said it of his player again, quoted by BBC: ''He does have similarities (with Ronaldo), of course. It was towards the end of the game and we played a very poor game and Cristiano scored it. If he wants to be at Cristiano's level, Anthony knows what he has to do. It's up to him. He has the talent.''

It's hardly a surprise Martial melts when speaking of Solskjaer because the latter does want the former as part of his team.

Ole added: ''I am glad he is in my team. He has contributed to so many chances, so many goals. He is a Manchester United player. He excites the crowd. He excites the manager. He excites his team-mates. And he is a great character around the place.''
What's the limit for Martial?
