Mourinho announces his next job, now off to Russia
- Mourinho is set to work as a football pundit for Russian channel RT.
- Quite fittingly, he was in Russia last week.
- He'd already worked for RT last summer.
Jose Mourinho was in Russia last week to take part in some promotional staff with ice hockey club Avangard Omsk. It turns out he was also in touch with RT, a Russian government-backed TV channel that Jose already worked for last summer:
Judging by the hashtags, Mourinho will cover the upcoming Champions League fixtures as the biggest European competition returns with Man United hosting Paris Saint Germain next Tuesday. The show will be called 'On the Touchline with Jose Mourinho'.
'I'm going to talk about football on RT, what else did you think I was going to do?' wonders a smiling Jose in the clip above. He then jokes by asking 'Where is the touchline here?' The clip was filmed at an ice hockey arena where Jose's puck throw didn't go as planned.
Last summer, Mourinho analysed the World Cup for RT while on a holiday from his United responsibilities. Although his punditry only lasted 4 days, he pocketed €1.9m over that period.
