Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'We can’t look at Arsenal performance and say we were shit'
- Ole's pleased despite the 2-0 defeat at the Emirates.
- He admits the team played worse in many other games under him.
- Overall, he enjoys the run that sees United retain chances in three competitions.
- He's cautious about Wolves defending as United go there for the FA Cup clash.
Manchester United were defeated by Arsenal 2-0 in the Premier League this week but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his opinion about the fixture.
He said at his pre-Wolves press conference: ''We'd played so much worse in many other games. It happens in football. Sometimes you can say it was a bad performance but we were happy with the result. We can’t look at the performance (against Arsenal) and say we were shit – to be blunt. Don’t worry about that, Karen (press officer).''
Elite mentality from Ole. We need to announce as permanent manager.— James 🔰 (@mufcsznV2) March 15, 2019
He then assessed the run he's had: ''We've done well, we've given ourselves a great chance to finish in the top four or even third and we're in the quarter-finals of both the FA Cup and the Champions League. Now it's about winning trophies, making use of the squad.''
He also spoke of the Wolves side: ''They're seventh in the league and still trusting in their own way of playing. They defended fantastically well against Chelsea last week. But at home they take the game to the opposition with the great passing ability in their team.''
