- The Blaugrana mean it with their interest in Rashford.
- They reportedly won't spare £100m for that.
- They've regularly watched the striker.
- Rashford's deal expires in 2020, possible for a renewal until 2021.
Marcus Rashford is currently in Barcelona, the city where a local top side want him. Andy Mitten from ESPN is well up in the latest transfer stories as he's confirmed it via his Twitter:
Mitten added that Barca scouts have watched Rashford in action on many occasions and have always been impressed.
The initial report appeared in The Mirror who claim a bid of £100m is prepared for the 21-year-old. The Blaugrana are looking for Luis Suarez replacements. They kept tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic but reports say this pursuit is over.
United are trying to tie Rashford down to a new contract worth £300,000-a-week. His current deal expires in 2020 but the club would have an option to trigger one more year if needed.
Rashford is tipped to start against Barcelona on Tuesday night in the Champions League quarterfinal. He was meant to be rested last week against West Ham but had to come on in the second half.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge admirer of his striker and various pundit have noted that it's Rashford who is the leader of United, someone to build a team around.
