Ter Stegen: 'We want to show we are superior to United'
- Ter Stegen doesn't much care about United's comeback versus PSG.
- He won't want to recall their last year defeat to AS Roma.
- He wants Barca to not just protect the 1-0 lead.
The German goalkeeper refused to draw parallels with United's previous round comeback with PSG: ''Well, we play differently to PSG. They are very dangerous and the lead is dangerous because it’s a slender advantage. We won’t be looking only to defend our lead, but to take a step forward, have the ball as we understand football and create chances to give ourselves a better result.
''We want to show that we are better than United and for that we have to beat them, and in our own way.''

Last year, Barca crashed out at this stage having lost 3-0 to AS Roma despite a 4-1 home victory. In this case too Ter Stegen doesn't want allusions.
He said: ''The Roma defeat was tough but we’re here a year later and (now) we are in this moment. We don’t want it to happen again and for that we have to take it into account, but we have to look forward and try to get a good result tomorrow with our fans behind us.''
