BBC's Lawrenson predicts a defeat for Manchester City clash: 'They will pick United off'
- United host Manchester City in the Premier League in midweek.
- The Old Trafford clash could decide the race for the Champions League qualification and the title.
- And BBC pundit Lawrenson expects to see a 2-0 win for Man City on Wednesday.
United must secure the three points against Manchester City on Wednesday to keep their top 4 hopes alive. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola's men are chasing the Premier League title and a defeat could rule them out of the race.
Stating his prediction for United's Wednesday clash against Manchester City, BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson said: "United were dire against Everton on Sunday and had no stomach for the fight. You look at some of their players and it is as if the season cannot end quickly enough for them.
"I am sure they will be better against City because the home fans will be angry and the United players will be driven to produce a performance. But they do not seem to have the quality to really frighten teams any more, especially the defending champions.
"I think United will play on the break, because that is almost the only way they can play at the moment. However, I don't see it working for them. That is the way I see Wednesday going, with City dominating possession, creating more chances - and picking United off."
