- The 21-year-old claims Ryan takes a lot of credit to why he has signed for United.
- The winger implies both his progress for Wales under the manager & the legendary midfielder's recommendations for the Reds regarding the young talent.
As it's been officially announced, Daniel James has joined Manchester United from Swansea City on a five-year contract with the option of a sixth for the reported fee of £15m plus £3m in add-ons.
The 21-year-old initially began to approve himself for Wales. It was Ryan Giggs who gave the winger his national team debut. Under the former Red Devil, James scored his first goal for the county as well.
Thus, Daniel has revealed which role the iconic midfielder has played in his dream move to Old Trafford speaking to Manutd.com:
"Yeah, Ryan was obviously a big credit to why I’m here now. Obviously, he gave that opportunity to me in the Slovakia game, and to score in the first five minutes was amazing for me.
"I think the trust he’s given me, and from then on he’s watched a few games of me at Swansea... he’s a big credit to why I’m here now. Obviously, he mentioned me here and I’d give a lot back to him for that."
