Gary Neville leaves Jamie Carragher 'devastated' with top chip... in zorb football
- The two mates played this version of football at Norwich.
- Neville chipped Carragher who was high off his goal.
- Former Liverpool defender initially wanted to push Nev aside but fell on his backside.
- Carragher jokingly said it's one of the best goals in the league this season.
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher could have given Norwich fans at Carrow Road more fun than their own team if the gates had been open early. The two ex-players tried some zorb football as the former Man United right back ended up chipping the ball over Carragher:
"It wasn't good enough, just gonna look at it now," ex-Liverpool man then analysed the goal. "There's no doubt I win the first challenge, but I become emotional and worry about knocking Gary Neville into the stands. I've gone too high, I haven't gone low enough and that is why I end up on my backside.
"I think it's the extra weight [Neville] is carrying but what a finish. I'm devastated that I'm saying it, but that's one of the top finishes we've seen in the Premier League this season."
Zorb football, or rather bubble football, is mostly a recreational activity although there was a World Cup held in London in 2018. Funnily enough, the tournament was run to find a team to represent England.
